Hi,
I have a problem with the catalyst driver and my sony W4000 TV.
When I am on the HDMI output of the ATI video card, if I switch to another output of the TV and switch back to the ATI video card, I got a black screen, and it seems the ati card fail to sync with the TV.
This is happens with the catalyst drivers provided in Ubuntu Hardy, with a 9600pro, and this happens also with the 8.6 and 8.8 with the HD4850.
This doesn't happen on windows drivers, or a nvidia 6600GT.
THe solution I have on linux is to switch to a tty console, by doing ctrl+alt+f1 and going back to X with ctrl+alt+f7
