Is it possible to get setup a multiseat X system with 3d acceleration using fglrx? I have a dual-head Radeon 4670 card.
I'm thinking the Multiview feature recently released would be ideal for setting up a multi-user system with 2 monitors. I found a site (http://netpatia.blogspot.com/2008/02/multiseat-computer-with-ubuntu-804.html), describing how to setup a multiseat system on ubuntu 8.04; however, it uses xrandr and the Xephyr X server to enable multi-seat. They state by using Xephyr, you lose 3d acceleration.
Another site describes how to setup 3d multiseat (http://www.automation.dn.ua/linux/3d-multiseat_en.html); apparently w/o Xephyr; however, this solution only works on Nvidia, and only with multiple graphics cards.
Has anyone set up a Multiseat System with ATI hardware and fglrx?
