Today, the GNOME Project celebrates the release of GNOME 2.18, the
latest version of the popular, multi-platform Free desktop
environment.
Released on schedule, to the day, it is the culmination of six months
effort by GNOME contributors around the world: hackers, documentors,
usability and accessibility specialists, translators, maintainers,
sysadmins, companies, artists, users and testers. Due to their hard
work, we have another great release to be proud of - thanks very much
to every contributor!

March 14, 2007 -- Not only is today Pi day and the launch date for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, but GNOME 2.18.0 is also being released today! GNOME 2.18.0 boasts a horde of improvements over GNOME 2.16. Among the changes are improved support for a number of things, new customizable options, GNOME desktop sharing, GNOME audio controller improvements, Sudoku and Chess games, network GNOME games support (for selected titles), improved bug reporting, and much more.
