View Full Version : [Compiz+Hd3470+catalyst 9.2] Why resizing windows is very slow!

Hi,
i have the new catalyst 9.2 version, a card HD3470 and a linux system at 64bit. I would know why resizing a window is very slow? and why is too too slow resume a windows reduced at icon ?

It's a driver problem ? Have i to add any option in xorg.conf ?
Can you suggest me what have i to do ?

same shit here with a x1600,
from catalyst 8.10 if I remember correctly. I have also a similar problem with ubuntu jaunty 9.04 and radeon driver, but it can be another story....

It's the acceleration type fglrx uses, along with Compiz just being in general a POS. With those two things going on you really can't win. For the resizing at least, try using the "stretch" effect instead.
