Would the developers of the Intel Linux drivers be able to add a feature, similar to the ATI Powerplay, where the users can change the Core Render Clock speed for either high performance mode or for battery savings mode?
I've documented the bits from the GM965 datasheet here (http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=4907993) showing this is possible to increase performance, and if running underclocked, there are battery life savings to be had as reflected by the lower TDP figures for the lower running clock.
Any thoughts?
