Pronouncing Phoronix

My friend and I had a discussion lately about how to pronounce Phoronix. English is not our native language, so we wouldn't know who is right.

My friend says: Phoronix
I say: Phoronix

Completely off-topic, I know, but does anyone has the answer? :D

I don't know which is right, but most people I know put emphasis on the second syllable.
