What is really cool about this Fedora release is that it will become the base for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.1.

Also Fedora 12 will get 2.6.31 which is the same version as what Ubuntu 9.10 will get. Read: Catalyst drivers will very likely work for F12.

But is fairly certain that Fedora 12 will be very much improved for virtualization.

Their work on libvirt is just damn cool!

Some kind of time-warp I presume? Current version of RHEL is already 5.3. 5.1 was released back in '07.

What is really cool about this Fedora release is that it will become the base for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.1.

There has NEVER been an instance where Fedora == RHEL.
Elements of Fedora will most certainly be incorporated into RHEL as has always been the case, for that matter, elements of Debian that they have submitted upstream will be incorporated into RHEL as well.

You seem to be under a misconception of equality due to similarities evident that are more due to the release scheduling than due to actual equality. Fedora is a bloody and dangerous animal. Parts of it will be considered for RHEL based on stability and applicability. A LOT of Fedora will NOT go into RHEL and RHEL will gain elements not in Fedora, hence Fedora != RHEL.

The libvirt slides only talk a bout what libvirt features Fedora 12 and Fedora 13 will bring, and in which RHEL they will land. I guess I could have been more clear on that :)

It is pretty interesting how much effort Red Hat puts in to KVM, libvirt and LVM for this release. It is just the coolest enterprise features thay are developing right now.
