Hi.I posted this in the old post.

I've been using Linux for a few years, and I'm an avid gamer. I still keep a Windows XP partition around but gaming is pretty much the only thing I used it for. Savage was the first native Linux game i played and I bought Savage 2 when S2 released a Linux version.

I can only assume that S2 is keeping up their tradition of quality Linux releases, and i would love the oppotunity to test HoN.

Hi. I've been a long time Linux user, but lately i've been forced to keep using Windows as I love playing Dota, which is mostly played on Garena nowadays. Wine support for Warcraft is great, but not so much for Garena, and I'd love to abandon Windows, and just use my Arch as my main OS for gaming.

I think Phoronix needs to end the beta key giveaway, this is too crazy. I said in another thread that I thought that the beta key giveaway brought alot of Windows users too requesting keys, I said something like 60% Linux users, 40% Windows users, but now I'm gonna say 80% of these requests gotta be Windows users and the rest are Linux users. Theres just too much spam.

You know if one of these guys is a Linux user because he doesn't beg, he just tells it how it is. It would be great if these keys only worked with only the Linux client. It would be really amusing then. But unfortunately they can take one of the keys and download the Windows version :(

I have played dota since it came out. I really like the graphics and gameplay, but its getting kind of old. I was wondering if i could have 1 or 2 beta keys to try out this new game HoN. I thought that the graphics looked pretty insane.

even I am getting annoyed at these people begging for keys. I think the case has been made that most of these people are too slow to be linux users. I think the thread might need to be locked, some good people might want keys still but nothing a good old PM couldn't handle. Its just spam now :(.

I usually use Wine to play on Linux, few good games are ported unfortunately (which is a shame since lot's of game engine are multiplatform).

Hello, I used to be an adamant windows user, some might have even gone as far as to call me a fanboy, but after growing disillusioned with constant blue screens, driver conflicts and viruses, I switched to Linux. The only game I really played was DotA, and i got by running it in wine, but now that there is a remake of it, with a native Linux version (even 64bit, which is great ), I'd love to give it a try, if at all possible. I am super excited about this game. I have been waiting for Diablo 3 to come out because I have always loved that style of rp games compared to the full on 3d games like WOW. The fact that this has native linux binaries and looks as good as the game play videos that Ive seen is frickin awesome!

I dont have a top of the line system but it is pretty good and I can provide detailed/intelligent bug reports.

Hi there,

I was so excited today after returning from a holiday to read this news. Previously when I had run Savage 2 on my Linux, I was blown away, with the sheer intensity the game had and the Engine scaled so beautifully, splendid. I still play it whenever I can find the time to.

Now when the same makers are coming up with another title, I couldn't wait :) I registered just for this now. I know HON is going to be a lot of fun and beautiful I might add.
