It's coming late, but it looks like we may finally see X.Org 7.5 in the next month. The biggest component making up X.Org 7.5 is X Server 1.7, which is finally getting underway with test releases after its code was frozen earlier this week. Peter Hutterer this time around had announced the release of X Server 1.6.99.900, which is the first testing snapshot of X Server 1.7 and will be followed by a few release candidates...

Does that mean we'll see 7.5 in the upcoming destro upgrades? This has nothing to do with X server releases. X.org 7.5 will be released when it's ready. It will contain X server 1.6 if X server 1.7 isn't ready by then as said in the schedule.

Well I've just compiled xserver 1.7-rc and everything works fine. I've pulled from git every dependency needed for xserver and also mesa and xf86-video-intel snapshots, funny enough Xorg binary remained the same as the one from xserver 1.6.4-rc

No bugs to report yet :D
