Xvideo Impossible?-8.36.5+xorg7.2+kernel 2.6.20??

as title said:

i'm using Feisty final (Xubuntu).

kernel is 2.6.20
xorg 7.2

ati mobility x1400

fglrx 8.36.5(download from ATI and manually installed becuase there is no 8.36.5 on deb repos.)

everytime i launch a program which needs Xvideo, the program will quit and print some "bad parameters" error.

also noticable slowdown (or should i call it stutter?) in desktop menu popup.

tried some xorg.conf options like texturevideo or etc,no luck.

until now, are there some workaround to make the Xvideo stuff work like before?

try setting opengloverlay instead of video overlay in xorg.conf . some people say it helps (i don't know myself).

that's good to know ;-). i've decided to stick with previous version for now.
