FGLRX Monitor calibration tool

I came across xcalib -a tiny monitor calibration loader for XFree86 (or X.org) and MS-Windows.

One thing which stood out is the fglrx specific version of the tool (http://www.etg.e-technik.uni-erlangen.de/web/doe/xcalib/)

Has anyone used this and seen a noticeable difference with their displays?

How do you go about calibrating your monitors under linux? (Yes it make a difference)

Also does anyone know of anything integrated into the latest ati drivers to simplify that [all i can see is the colour slider]?

In particular when using the fglrx xcalib do you set the device and screen settings to use "aticonfig-device[0]" and "aticonfig-screen[0]"

Finally related to xcalib - is there a way to set it up so then it automatically loads an icm profile I desire?

Michael: is there any monitor calib setup involved in your benchmarks (I'm assuming this might have an impact on image quality tests)?

I'me Québécois and I don't know if I understand your question but if you serch a good tols to caliber your screen you can use CVS Lprof. This software can use a calibration tools like:
X-Rite EyeOne Display
X-Rite EyeOne Display 2
X-Rite EyeOne Pro
X-Rite DTP-94

and create a color profile for your screen:
