Hybrid SLI

How is the feeling about the hybrid SLI proposed by Nvidia, obviously this would be ideal for an HTPC&Game box but will it be supported in Linux?

What generation gfx card will be needed to enable powersaving?

It will likely be "supported" under Linux to some extent but how beneficial it will be remains to be seen.
