7.12 gnome-screensaver problem

Since installing the Catalyst 7.12 drivers, if I shut the lid of my Dell E1505 with a Mobility Radeon X1400 while the gnome-screensaver is enabled, the screen does not turn back on when I open the lid again and I am forced to hard reboot. This happens whether the screensaver goes on before or after I close the lid. I need gnome-screensaver to work so that I can lock my screen. Is anyone else seeing this and/or know how to fix it?

I'm using Ubuntu Gutsy.

I reverted back to 7.11 and the problem went away, so it must be an issue with the drivers. Is no one else seeing this?
