hi

am using Fc4. my intel motherboard has Radeon Xpress 200 onboard graphics.

FC4 is taking VESA driver (generic) as its default driver for VGA.

it is working but when it comes to moving pictures it runs frame by frame.

onboard radeon Xpress 200 is not available in the list of drivers in Fc4

i want to install. but couldn't get it through.

am seeking help. if anybody knows how to do it kindly let me know.

thanks

With Core 4, you should just need to run the ati driver available at ati.com (version 8.33.6) using the graphical installer and then running aticonfig --initial as root should get you going.

hi,

thanks for your suggesstion. i will try it. actually i did get the driver from ATI web site.

after installation and reboot i could not get the gui as it was giving "out of frequency range" error. then from command line i uninstalled it.

anyways i will try again and if any problem arise will come to you for help.

may be i might be doing some mistake after installation and before rebooting.

thanks

Did you try manually specifying the frequency? (Google if you need to know the specific arguments to use for your xorg.conf)
