I've installed a new system with OpenSUSE 10.3 64 bit version on a intel E8400 CPU. My graphics card is Sapphire HD 2600 XT ultimate with new AMD 8.3 drivers (compiled without problems). In xorg.conf I've "TexturedVideo" "on".
In the suse packages i've omitted kaffeine, xine and xine-lib.
I've installed latest xine-lib CVS (03/10/2008), latest xine-ui CVS (03/10/2008), kaffeine 0.8.6.
When I play a DVD with kaffeine, the result is good with very low CPU usage (<2%).
When I play AVC/H264 files (720p), the output is very fluid with low CPU usage (<30%).

The only problem with kaffeine is when try to stop play cause an exception in pthread64. This exception not happen when i try output with xshm.

The big problem is when I try to play same DVD (or AVC/H264) with xine-ui (Xv) the output is very bad (like a old TV with H-Sync failure): I see only moving diagonal lines, but no crash when i stop. With xshm output every works fine, but with large amount of CPU usage.

I tryed options like "TexturedVideoSync" "on", but the result is same.

I'tried also MPlayer (sources of 03/15/2008) in Xv, but in HD i view tearing effects and video window flash when is on other window (like console).

xvinfo report only two output bitplanes: YV12 and I420 .. it's ok ?

can anyone help me for bad xine output ?
