I have a radeon 9000 pro a friend gave me and was trying it in my myth box.

I wanted to update ubuntu and I'm using the beta of hardy.

I found out that the fglrx has been dropped from latest fglrx so I need 8.28 but that doesn't support xorg 7.2, or at least not for 3d.

I tried to use this script which is supposedly popular

http://kanotix.com/files/install-fglrx-debian.sh

It fails saying it's not compatible with my kernel.

I might msg kano on this if he knows a way to get it to work with newer distros.

Does anyone else have advice on getting a radeon 9000 working with xorg 7.2 using fglrx?

And his script did say that it would be only 2d. I don't mind so much losing 3d, but I need xv for mythtv. Also it would be nice to have access to the tv out, will that work?

Any advice would be great.
