Have you noticed that there is also excellent program called lshw, http://ezix.org/project/wiki/HardwareLiSter. Which gives pretty good info about hardware.

IMHO current system does not show enough info about hardware used in test so better system is needed.

We'll be adding more hardware information to PTS (we're only at v0.1 :)). We may base it upon lshw but at this time it's not known.
