Just finished setting up 0.3.1 and tried to run pts-test1. The test completed fine, but when I tried to upload the results to PTS Global it gave me this:

Uploading: /home/principe/.phoronix-test-suite/pts-test-results/pts-suite1-00.xml

if you try running universe does it upload fine?

Melcar

Yes. All the other tests that I have tried upload fine (universe, superPi, compilation).

I've done a benchmark and have the .xml but I dont seem to be able to upload the results to PTS global from the script, probably the firewall at work blocking it.

Is there a way to manually upload the results?

That'd be surprising as the upload script is very simple and is just using HTTP, but right now there is no way to manually upload results.

That's weird because i set the proxy using

export http_proxy="xxx:3128"

using a squid proxy that i set up last week at work and i know that definitely filters nothing.

Is there anyway to try and re-upload the file? using a command line switch using the script?

phoronix-test-suite upload NAMEOFSAVEDRESULT OR PATH TO XML FILE WITH .XML AT END

still no luck using 2 different proxies. Do you not use the http_proxy environment variable?

It's not a problem, i'll upload the results when i do the ones on my home PC, that should work, but there does seem to be an error when using a proxy. the error i get is :

[blf@holm phoronix-test-suite]$ ./phoronix-test-suite upload /vmware2/benchmarks/universe.xml

Uploading: /vmware2/benchmarks/universe.xml
Results Uploaded To: <TITLE>Error</TITLE>
<BODY>
<H1>Error</H1>
FW-1 at fw-iop-Bristol1: Access denied.</BODY>

fw-iop-Bristol1 is one of our firewalls. It could be simply that is blocking the request.

I am not using http_proxy variable as this is all going through PHP/Zend Engine with the file_get_contents() call.

There seems to be something weird, because I was able to download all the benchmarks fine. I don't know enough about our firewall to really be able to say what is at fault here though.

I have to say i was quite impressed with the benchmark process for universe though, albeit slightly surprised when my workstation started nexuiz on both monitors....

I don't think it's the firewall. I'm behind a firewall too and can download and upload just fine. pts-test1 always fails to upload, generating the output I posted originally. So far that's the only test that does this.

Well, I get a different result. Here is the output of the final stages:

Do you want to view the results in your web browser (y/N)? n
Would you like to upload these results to PTS Global (Y/n)? Y

Tags are optional and used on PTS Global for making it easy to share, search, and organize test results. Example tags could be the type of test performed (i.e. WINE tests) or the hardware used (i.e. Dual-Core SMP).

Enter the tags you wish to provide (separated by commas): 6400+ M2N-E

Hello.
Since I've switched to Gentoo linux, I can't upload the results at all - the same as above appears - it looks like my results are uploaded, but no link is shown, and in fact, they aren't.

I am also unable to login using my created account (PeterKraus); and I have downloaded the 0.4.0 version...

Is there any dependency I should emerge from gentoo portage tree? Because the PHP5 seems to be installed...

Okay, in the Phoronix Test Suite 0.5.1 release this is now fixed. Seems to have been caused by a PHP limitation with the length of URIs. I have a fix in there that doesn't allow the suites to be uploaded now of a really large length, but all of the biggest suites now (including the new pcqs-server-motherboard) should upload appropriately.

Doesn't work, still (using audio-encoding).... How can I provide some more developer output?

Michael

does pcqs-server-motherboard suite upload for you? Can you send me the file to michael [at] phoronix.com of ~/.phoronix-test-suite/test-results/<SAVED NAME>/composite.xml ?

Testing it for you right now. The suite is quite long...

I have already sent you the audio-encoding result; I'll be back with the server result once I have it..

Still does not upload for me. There is no output or errors given; it just returns me back to the command prompt.

I worked out the issue with Peter. Gentoo doesn't have the fopen ini setting for file_get_contents. See: http://us3.php.net/manual/en/filesystem.configuration.php#ini.allow-url-fopen

I can't remember precisely, but search your system for file like "php.ini", and find "allow_url_fopen" and set it to "On".
