Sigh , I hate filling out these things you can't fit a life time of BS into a small box lol.

Lets see as far as IT I was an IRC Administrator for nearly 9 years this is where I began my journey into opensource world.
I had started out as a simple CS Admin until they needed some network Administration. At the time I was mostly delved into windows MCSE and all the other MS certs which are practically useless in more than 80% of the Commercial networking world lol.

However they trusted me with their systems remotely in which then I got a crash course in Linux/Unix shell environment. I went out bought my first Linux Bible and haven't really stopped since.

So how does a now outdated network Admin become a an Locomotive Engineer one may ask. That's easy the money and benefits are more than comparable.
I think it's better this way too because now I can enjoy doing what I do in my leisure rather than having clients emailing you with their problems all day lol.

I also have 10 years of experience in Technical trouble shooting in the field on HVAC equipment but that is even a longer story. :)
