          I think it's really cool you can these days also have Gnome Boxes provided through org.gnome.Boxes so as long as your machine has the core capabilities of running VM's, it just works

            GNOME Boxes doesn't "just work" in Bionic.

              Sounds like a distro integration issue for Ubuntu to me. That sounds like a total release blocker for 18.04 to me. It would most likely have been for Fedora

                  AFAIK all the extensions still run in the same process as mutter itself, so there is more than enough room for "performance improvements".

                  Also just today XWayland crashed on me. :-(
