Phoronix: Amarok 2.0 Media Player Released

Amarok 2.0 wasn't released with KDE 4.0 or KDE 4.1, but it's finally here today. This media player that's very popular with KDE users (and even users of other desktop environments), brings a brand new user-interface, tighter Internet integration, an overhauled scripting API, and migration from the KDE3 to KDE4 framework in this version 2.0 release...

great release. i had only one crash after playing ~50 songs and i had to kill it.

otherwise so far so good. amarok2 looks quite solid and i like all the changes that have been done. it just feels quite intuitive.

Great news! This was one of my biggest kde4 stumbling blocks.

To be honest I think Amarok 1.4.* is still better... but I'm using Amarok 2.0 anyway because of visual consistency with KDE 4.1/4.2 .
