    I think the goal here is OpenGL ES 3.1 rather than Desktop GL 4.x

      Yes, this makes more sense.
      Regardless - nice to see. This could be helpful to some embedded devices with crappy/limited GPU drivers.

        i thought for a second about novideo, then thought nouveau would be natural choice there. but it turns out llvmpipe is more capable than nouveau for older chips
