Preliminary Display Port output support was announced back with version 2.4, however, this still does not work with 2.6.1.

The integrated G45 controller works fine through the displayport conenctor when at the console, but attempting to start Xorg 1.6 with the intel 2.6.1 driver reports that no outputs are available.

    Xorg.0.log:

A quick grep through the intel source shows a lot more #defines for HDMI than DP... I would use HDMI, only this does not support my 30" monitor at the correct resolution.

Does anyone have DisplayPort working with linux? using intel, ati, or nvidia?

      File a bug report? http://intellinuxgraphics.org/how_to_report_bug.html

I don't know about DisplayPort, but in general these kind of problems seems to be a high priority for the intel developers.
