Debian added backported patches to their kernel source code repository, which is currently at 5.5.8
Meanwhile they don't yet have it packaged and uploaded to mirrors, Unstable and Testing still have 5.4.19: https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/linux-signed-amd64

There is a big chance that 5.5 would be skipped in Debian and they will upgrade to 5.6 when it is out. But having a config parameter flipped on already is a good news.

And I'm running self build 5.5.8 packages from this repository because 5.4 has lots of problems with 'i915' driver, that are fixed in 5.5
