I have high hopes for CXL being a corner stone of future innovation as it alters some long standing paradigms in the industry. Also ALL major vendors are collaborating there, I whish they would come together and standardize other things, too like 12-V PSUs, a new ATX-like specification and I hope the SFF-TA-1002 connector will replace the PCIe connector somewhen in the future as it offers more flexibility and cost-effectiveness once it overcomes the transition costs.
