    Note the improvement for the VirtIOFS fix turned out to be random write rather than mixed random I/O based on source link details from what I read. The patch author also states:

    Before this patch I get around 40MB/s and after the patch I get around 300MB/s bandwidth. So improvement is very significant.
    Previously it was doing quite poorly as shown on the Github issue results, worse than 9P under this I/O activity.
