    I'd love it if someone upstreamed the spectre v2 mitigation for AMD K10 CPUs that pokes the Indirect Branch Predictor chicken bit and disables it (normally used during boot for cache-as-ram).

    It's implemented in both NetBSD and the RHEL kernels, but was never upstreamed. With RHEL9 dropping support for K10 (and other CPU microarchitectures below feature-level 2) it would be nice for it to land in the mainline kernel so I could move the machine to a different distro when the time comes.
