Phoronix: RADV Now Uses Common Sync Framework For More Mesa Driver Code Sharing

Mesa's Radeon Vulkan driver "RADV" now is making use of the common synchronization framework started by Intel "ANV" Vulkan driver developers to allow for more code sharing between the drivers...

sharing is good for competition, and competition is always good for both users and the companies themselves

Is this because Intels upcoming GPUs are based off AMDs designs ?

This code sharing could really help Nouveau too, since that could mean less work for their devs.

Not related at all to any specific HW changes. Just a place where the Linux drivers (not only AMD & Intel but all modern graphics drivers) had a common API from the kernel.

Not really this is for Vulkan only, so useless for Nouveau until they have a vulkan driver.
