    I would have liked a systemd-install, systemd-update, etc.. frontends to common package managers like a replacement to packagekit.

      I would have hoped that the sysupdate tool would be able to work with ostree checkouts and not just A/B style imaging. Especially if it has been developed by Red Hat.

        Playing devil's advocate: How many people use ostree checkouts? From my experience Podman/systemd targets to most needed features first.

        I'm all for ostree checkouts, so hopefully they will add support for that later. For now: make it work, might it right, make it fast?

        Your comment got me thinking of how Fedora 36 will support ostree stack: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Chang...ativeContainer ... they might be using rpm-ostree https://coreos.github.io/rpm-ostree/container/ which is based on https://github.com/ostreedev/ostree-rs-ext/ Here's a bit more insight around the tools purpose: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/arch...C2J4I4K2IFYI6/

          Fedora Silverblue is entirely based on ostree.

              I do and am very satisfied with it. There is even a mention on its website that it could be the future of Fedora long-term.

                Michael Typo: "bustctl now uses the pcapng format for output rather than pcap."

                  bustctl

                  Is that related to the age setting in Dead or Alive?

                    ->systemd-sysupdate Tool

                    This sounds like a really bad idea. Anyone taking bets on how long it is before this is instrumental in a significant data breach?
