Earlier this year TUXEDO Computers announced their Stellaris 15 Gen4 laptop that when stationary could be water-cooled using their TUXEDO Aquaris water-cooling solution. Oddly for this Bavarian Linux PC retailer that was a Windows-only feature, but today they have announced Linux support for this laptop water cooling solution...

I think it's difficult to say which desktop environment is "best" because it also depends on the distribution and what gets installed on setup and if you consider CPU or RAM usage, size or number of packages/dependencies, etc.

Plasma is as light (or even lighter) on CPU and RAM as Xfce, like shown in the video above (and much more has happened in the last two years) whereas Xfce is even described/experienced as a dedicated "lightweight" DE.

Maybe I just understood your comment wrong, so what exactly were you pointing at?

Destilled water is not conducting but, yeah... corrosion and making a mess on the table is still a thing.

Did you link the wrong video? Because this one clearly shows XFCE using 1 GB RAM while KDE using 1.5 GB for the same workload. Having a few MB more or less while not using your system is a pretty useless metric.

Linus Tech Tips reviewed pretty much the exact same hardware design from a different brand. That pump/reservoir sticks out like a sore thumb. Based on his review, seems there's much to be desired. Definitely not worth that price, anyway.

GNOME isn't that resource intensive anymore.
It was years ago, but now it is comparable with KDE.
