    The X.Org Server and XWayland have new releases out ahead of the holidays, but it's not for Christmas feature releases and instead for fixing a number of new security issues...

    They should remake it in Rust. Get hid of all those security bugs. Everything gets better if you let them to Rust.

      Rewriting X.Org in any language would be a giant waste of time. Better let it die already.

        Rewriting X.org into Rust is a good idea. And nobody needs Wayland in any language. Except for GNOME developers who want to create the GNOME OS.

              Only Nvidia is keeping X11 alive - Never had any issues on AMD and Intel hardware in the recent time with wayland.

                  Every single sensible person using Linux seriously needs Wayland. All others can use anything they want, or write their own, instead of infesting every thread under the sun and pestering us about it.

                    No, I don't, sorry. I'd love to use XFCE or IceWM under Wayland but the protocol is openly hostile against smaller software projects.

                    KDE under Wayland is still buggy as hell, I tested it under Intel graphics just last week.
