    Apple today announced their M2 Pro and M2 Max SoCs found in new Apple MacBook Pro devices and they have also updated their Mac Mini computers with the M2 and interestingly even offering a model with the M2 Pro SoC...

    Might be fun in the near future (once supported) to have PearOS on one of these M1/M2 Macs and see how many people really can't tell the difference.

    Pear out of the box seeks to mimic MacOS without the user going through theming headaches.

          Those are still in the 5nm node right? It will be interesting to see a comparison against the future AMD mobile APUs in the same node later this year. Last year 6nm closed the gap a lot in the power/performance category. Now we will have a much better AMD64/ARM architecture comparison.

                    Intel should take note of this idea that strapping RAM to the chip that can be accessed at 200-400GB/sec is great. They should do the same for consumer stuff and offer a CXL-based path for additional RAM that's lower tier. I'd rather have 8-16GB of RAM for the CPU and iGPU running at 200GB/sec and 16GB more that's 40GB/sec than 32GB at 100 GB/sec.
