    I really wish they wouldn't do this force probe thing for new drivers because then we get incidents where Linux LTS 6.0 has working alchemist graphics but it is locked behind a flag. It doesn't make Linux look user friendly and unless the down stream *BSD projects compile the DRM with it in won't have support for those graphics period.

      I fail to see how having no support whatsoever would be more user friendly.
