      RT available (via variables) for RDNA1, Vega and Polaris also, if you're curious/tolerant.

        Since you know you should also posted how to do that.

          Hope it fixes all of the issues with 23.1. I almost never had issues with Mesa and certainly not this much.

            Run a game with latest Proton-GE/Wine-GE.
            Have Mesa 23.2-git installed.

            Add as variables (depends where you play the game, for Steam it's regular game launch command):
            VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr
            RADV_PERFTEST=emulate_rt

            That's it.

              Half off topic:

              If I click on the picture to this article, nothing happens.
              But there is a larger version of it saved:

                Michael I edited that article and I hope it reflects the points you were trying to make.

                Mesa 23.1.8 was released on Wednesday as another bi-weekly stable release for the Mesa 23.1 series while waiting for Mesa 23.2 to materialize.

                Mesa 23.2 was supposed to be released as stable in August, but that lapsed after a five week hiatus when compared to the usual weekly release candidates. Mesa 23.2-rc3 was released on 5 September with the possibility of another release candidate later that week. Two weeks later Mesa 23.2-rc3 remains the latest version and there's no word when the -rc4 will arrive, let alone be final. At this point, it's possible Mesa 23.2 stable won't be out until Q4. This is an unfortunate for autumn Linux distribution releases that prefer to wait for Mesa 3D stable releases to debut before pulling them in, like Ubuntu 23.10 still using the Mesa 23.1 release series.

                Mesa 23.2 does have many new graphics driver features but it is having an unusual release management stumble. Due to the Mesa 23.2 delays, Mesa 23.1.8 is now out as an extra, unplanned, point release for the current series.

                The Mesa 23.1 series continues to be managed by Eric Engestrom. Mesa 23.1.8 brings a number of Zink fixes, a few Android build system updates, ACO compiler fixes, and other mundane fixes across the board. A Mesa 23.1.9 point release is already scheduled to happen on 4 October with these point releases typically continuing until the Mesa N+1.1 point release is out.
