Intel continues to do a splendid job at ensuring the open-source GCC and LLVM/Clang upstream compilers have support for their new processor cores well in advance of products shipping. Beyond already having Sierra Forest, Granite Rapids, Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake support already in upstream GCC, today one of the Intel compiler engineers sent out patches for enabling the Clear Water Forest and Panther Lake cores...

It's spelled as "Clear Water Forest" everywhere it isn't spelled "clearwaterforest" or "CLEARWATERFOREST".

FWIW, that was my initial reaction based on past naming schemes.

Panther Lake is what's created from the drool when my black kitty Cinder is getting her loves. She's a slobbery girl.

There's a "Clearwater" in the last paragraph.

The Intel compiler patches call it Clear Water Forest. I've also seen it referenced as Clearwater Forest elsewhere. So in the article I made references to both.

I also side with Intel's way, even if I'm on all AMD.
