Phoronix: Intel Video Acceleration Drivers Begin Preparing For Arrow Lake S

While Meteor Lake isn't shipping until December, Intel's open-source Linux engineers for months have already been working on 15th Gen Arrow Lake (as well as Lunar Lake, among their other processor lines) for getting the driver support in order. The latest early hardware enablement to talk about is the initial Arrow Lake S support coming to their video acceleration drivers...

Hopefully Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake graphics come along quicker that Meteor Lake did. I'm hoping ML makes it into the next LTS Ubuntu but fear it will be another year before it lands in any BSD. That is why I am hoping 6.7 is the LTS for this year and not 6.6, and that is because OpenBSD pulls its graphics stack from the Linux LTS of the previous year and would have to wait a whole other year to gain support or risk running -current. FreeBSD too is a little slow pulling Linux DRM drivers.
