    Phoronix: Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS Released

For those of you still running Ubuntu 8.04 due to its Long-Term Support status rather than upgrading to Ubuntu 8.10 or Ubuntu 9.04, fire up your update manager as Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS is now available. Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS is the third maintenance update targeting the Hardy Heron and it includes security updates and fixes for high impact bugs. Approximately 80 updates have been incorporated into Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS that address issues within the installer, desktop, server, and general areas...

The only point of the .3 release is to provide updated installation media. So if you are not going to install Ubuntu 8.04.3 from scratch, move on, nothing to see.

If you have used the update-manager lately, you already have all the updates which constitute the .3 release. You should of course use the update-manager often (like every week) to get important security updates, and not wait for Phoronix to tell you
