I have been using DNF5 for a while in Fedora and have been happy with it. A lot faster than DNF4. Also, after watching the video presentation by Red Hat people on the design, they really simplified things which should provide a lot of value going forward. And no longer a Python dependency for most things as based on C++.

so RHEL10 is still a year away, but this won't make the cut?

I may be wrong but I believe it’s not enabled by default, but you can still install it from repos.

It is and Red Hat has in the past picked up packages from any number of Fedora releases and adding their own on top.
