    including the binary drivers from ATI and NVIDIA, would still be running their X Server as root.
    no, the nvidia driver supports rootless X as long as X has access to /dev/nvidia*

      Was there any progress on getting the revoke() ayscall working? don't they need that to prevent spying on the /dev/input/*? AFAIK, thats the last thing thats remaining before they can get X to not run as root?
