      Um, is it compiled with llvm? Kind of don't see the point in distributing a compiler with a htpc distro. How about lto kernel? Are there any plans? What about a minimal rpi build with only drivers for sd and the builtin ethernet? The boot time is quite slow.

        LLVM is used with Mesa, there is no compiler installed in the build

        the boottime is ~ 20 sec on RPi which is not very slow for such a slow device :-) drivers are loaded only if the hardware is connected, other then that OpenELEC is already very minimal (~100MB on RPi), not needed services like samba, ssh, avahi, wlan, bluetooth etc... can be disabled.

          Not sure how you got that number. I tried the latest stock openelec for rpi before this release and had overclocked to 900 MHz. The card was class 10 40 MB/s from sandisk. Took closer to 40 seconds to boot. From plugging transformer to wall to the xbmc startup sound.
