    Yeah just ignore Red Hats affords to merge their work with the work of the suse developers and go all-solo-in.

      AFAIK the merged version accepts patches in the kGraft and the Kpatch form so it's simply a problem of what is currently working and what is not.
      So SUSE can *now* use/provide kGraft and as soon as the combined thing is working and is tested they can switch over to that.

        It is perfectly fine for SUSE developers to go ahead. Their marketing is oriented towards being "first" while Red Hat deliberately doesn't take that apprach and in this case, the merged effort is going to support both approaches anyway so that is pretty much an implementation detail.
