    Gnome's popularity is surging right now. 3.16 will be spectacular.

      No Builder isn't ready yet.

      Gnome 3's became more apparent since 3.12 and the overhaul of the infrastructure has reached the point where it is becoming a coherent platform.

      (Gnome before 3.12 was a less coherent mix of vision in the designers minds and most apps that followed the Gnome 2 HIG.)

      The platform is becoming stable and coherent, which is attracting developers.

        Worldofgnome.org seems to be dead. Is there another website dedicated to gnome news? A blog perhaps?

              World of GNOME still actively posts to their Google+ account - beyond that planet.gnome.org aggregates blogs from members of the GNOME community, so it's a good place to track what is going on.

                  Automatic on/off

                  sans the matter of manually needing to put the device into battery power mode by pulling the AC plug
                  @Michael

                  If you are looking to automate turning the grid power on and off that should be possible. For work I'm often looking at linux compatible laboratory equipment. I'm pretty sure that we did at some point find a cheap linux compatibly relay capable of switching grid power on/off. Most of these gadgets are simple serial communication over USB or something similary. Let me know if you need names.

                  Regards
