          Always nice to see new features, however, as usual, basic functionality should be properly working first. Playing back xvid encoded files on linux with VLC is still all black, there is no picture regardless of settings, renderer or video driver being used. But yes, we have logging now...

            As long as I can disable it totally with a configure switch, it's OK, if not then bye, bye.

              Interesting. I was wondering why this would be needed when journald already grabs all messages send via syslog anyway, but it looks like journal can optionally accept structured log entries, which probably makes monitoring and debugging a lot easier than having to deal with raw text.
