Thank you Debian for pissing 6 months of arguing on Systemd to slow the entire back log down by months on end, all for a stable release that most individual users switch to Sid if they have half a brain, out-of-the-box.

Can't wait for them to stop dragging this out.

As long as they don't now have the same debate with same arguments before every release, I consider the time well spent

Why would an individual user with half a brain install Jessie to switch to Sid? Shouldn't they have switched already to Sid and therefore don't have to install Jessie in the first place?

          Freeze was in November.

The most optimistic target for release was February, though I doubt anyone expected for it to actually be released then.

Debian 8 is an important release even for those that do not use Debian and I dont think you can consider this release that late, especially compared to past releases where freeze has gone on endlessly as they tried to beat the release into shape.

When it is ready, it is good for several years
