    I wonder why project doesn't release fixed versions and relies on external patches?

      Manpage says "The NIC is an e1000 by default on the PC target." Hopefully, this wasn't too widespread.

        Yeah this isn't very widespread. Most use either virtio or e1000. Can also easily be mitigated by changing the type of network adapter being emulated if you really want to use an emulated NIC.
