Hopefully with Vulkan support to not fall behind Metal.

They already have it working with Vulkan

But they have to wait for Khronos to finalize the spec and everybody to release drivers.

It would be cool if they also use that new UI framework they mention for engine tools. This looks a bit unpolished compared to UE4 and Unity.

Doubt vulcan support right out of the bat would be good for anything but testing vulcan (emulated) drivers.

Anyways, don't expect too much at first, valve is known to release first and fix problems later, but hopefully it will get better over time and surpass DX<->OGL driver over time in terms of performance.
