    OPNsense looks like it is heading in the right direction. For now the user interface seems to be the "major update" from a users perspective. The new UI is not very compact and the padding around tables etc is just ridiculous. For that alone I recommend staying with pfsense for a while longer, you can at least see what you are working with since most of it is on screen where it should be. Also the system requirements of OPNsense is a bit steep compared to pfsense. Not sure why you would need much more CPu power than pfsense, but for me this are the two major dislikes...
