    Vivid doesn't use the stock i915 driver for SKL (or CHV), but a separate backport driver (i915_bpo) from 4.2 minus some commits to aid backporting. Next kernel SRU cycle will sync the driver to ~4.2-rc6 plus bugfixes. Mesa will get a few bugfixes too, once necessary commits are identified...
