What's the point of porting KDE to Android? And what parts of it are ported to Android? The desktop and the applications are definitely useless on mobile, the only use case could be tablets, as I don't think anybody uses Android on PC.

I think it could be pretty legit to have a KDE set of applications on cyanogen mod for a fuller experience. Right now the not Google versions of Android are rather limited. This is understandable from a business standpoint, but I still would like an open version of the OS with a complete feeling to it right out of the box.

erm, whatever happened to Lighthouse/Necessitas? Is this a related project or entirely independent?

Too lazy to read? Quote from the post: "Availability of KDE Frameworks 5"

Necessitas is a port of Qt to Android. It has since been merged with upstream Qt. Yay.
KDE Frameworks on Android is an extension of that effort that will also help Plasma Mobile.

If you haven't been paying attention over the last few years, several KDE developers have been working on mobile-friendly versions of applications for a while now. The main goal of these is to support Plasma Active/Mobile, but if application developers can also support Android too, why shouldn't they?

The Plasma desktop, of course, wouldn't run on android. It would run on Plasma Mobile.

It was integrated directly into the main Qt project. KDE frameworks and applications for mobile almost certainly relies on the android Qt port.
