Phoronix: Red Hat Continues Dominating GTK+ Development

With the release of GNOME 3.18 just around the corner, Emmanuele Bassi has shared some interesting statistics behind the development of the GTK+ 3.18 tool-kit as well as GLib...

    One could draw two conclusions:

    a. RedHat is a really fine open-source friendly company, investing into the development of linux as a whole (compared to one large distributor, which only invests into self-developed stuff and regularily pushes own stuff against open standards and existing projects)

    b. No one except RedHat cares about GTK+.
As I've worked on that code-base a few years ago, this doesn't suprise me a lot - especially with QT now beeing available under LGPL.

I wish to see further improvements to the Wayland backend in GTK.

I wish to see a billion dollars in my bank account...
BTW, your obsession with Wayland is unhealthy.

Biggest mistake RedHat ever made was going the GTK/GNOME way.

And revenue is because of free GNOME of course, not because they sell server distros.
